Ready to Wear or Made for You: which should you choose?
Compare finished clothing with a garment made to an agreed specification, and find the right starting point with Revai.
Choose Ready to Wear when a finished piece suits you
Ready-to-wear listings show a particular finished garment. Check its available size, composition, photographs and measurements, together with delivery information. A size label is a starting point: the cut and garment measurements help explain how it may fit.
If you have an event approaching, ask about despatch and delivery before ordering. A piece being available does not guarantee arrival on a particular date.
Choose Made for You when you want to agree the details
Made for You begins with a conversation with Revai about your style, fabric and fit. You agree a written specification, price and estimated completion date before cutting begins and the agreed deposit is paid.
Your specification can cover length, sleeves, pockets and lining where appropriate. Available fabric and the construction of the garment affect what can be made. A photograph or silhouette helps explain an idea; it does not guarantee identical pattern placement.
How the price and payment work
Your quotation reflects the agreed fabric, materials and work. The deposit reflects the initial commitment. After making and the final quality check, you receive a genuine photograph of your completed garment before the remaining balance is requested.
Found a garment in another size?
Ask Revai whether a similar style is possible in your size or another available fabric. A sold piece can still be a useful reference, but the same fabric may no longer be available.
What to include in your first enquiry
- The style or product that interests you.
- Your usual size and any fit concerns.
- A preferred fabric, or a request for help choosing.
- An event date, if you have one.
You can discuss detailed measurements and finishing choices with Revai as your idea develops.
